Fallen Angels Literature circle 4

Do you think it’s smart to buy thing from Vietnamese people?

A sandy street, the dust blowing up in your face, it seems as if you and the person across from you are the only people left on Earth, he has a shroud across his face, just enough is visible to show his beady eyes, he has a package of goods in his hand, should you do it? In the book Fallen Angels this is what could happen if you were trying to purchase goods from Vietnamese people. Thoughts race through your head, can you trust what you’re buying, can you trust the seller? Many things race through your mind as you try to tell whether what you are about to buy is a trustworthy purchase, can you trust to buy from the Vietnamese?
Many things could go wrong when purchasing unknown products or goods from unknown people, and to most Americans an untrustworthy race of people. If to survive in the Vietnam war you have to purchase products from Vietnamese people, do you have a good chance to survive? Most people experiment with their purchases, seeing if a certain buyer will be trustworthy down the road, because if you need to buy supplies you should find someone you can trust to supply the products.
Peewee in the book Fallen Angels purchases wine from a Vietnamese person, the Vietnamese could be working for the enemy and poison the wine, or maybe it’s not even wine, the seller could do anything he wants to the goods he supplies and would rarely get caught for it. Most people wouldn’t trust the Vietnamese people enough to purchase important resources from them, but in the book Fallen Angels, it is a necessity. Many things race through your mind as you try to tell whether what you are about to buy is a trustworthy purchase, can you trust to buy from the Vietnamese?
